Noah had his checkup today, and we were told that he is a healthy little guy. He is still five days away from being four months old but he weighed in at 17 pounds! I continue to tell him that in order to play pro baseball he has to be a minimum height of 5'10"-so he still has a lot of growing to do.
As for us, God has continued to provide for our needs and to show us His grace. And although there are some tough, tiring, and draining days, we have been enjoying seeing Noah grow, smile, and laugh. I've tried to capture video of him giggling, but I think he caught on so he stops every time I try. So, until he allows me to get some video of him, you can enjoy these new photos.

I realize I have not posted any new content on here for some time so I have put together some photos that were taken over the last couple of weeks.
I cannot believe how fast Noah is growing up! And as much as I cannot wait to play catch, go to our first baseball game together (in Anahiem, of course), or even watch him start walking and talking, I am bummed that that means Carly and I lose out on all the great times we are having with him now...

I can't believe Carly and I are five weeks into the rest of our lives. Noah has brought with him a whole new normal. I borrow the words of Amy Poehler (of SNL and Baby Mama) when she said, "sleep is out for 2009. Tired is the new black." Even as I write this, Carly is in bed getting in her hour to three-hours of sleep (I call that a nap) before Noah wakes up and is ready to be fed.

Although I can't do the feeding, I am getting pretty good at changing diapers at 4 AM as well as getting him back to sleep. Instead of trying to sing lullabies and nursery rimes with words I could not remember anyway, I have been steadily getting him used to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game." Of course, my version replaces "the home team" with "the Angels." I might have moved out of California, but I still bleed Angel-red.

Hey, if you know anyone interested in buying a 2001 Volvo V70, please send them my way!
With Noah here, and our financial situation changing, Carly and I are wanting to sell our Volvo as soon as possible and we will take any reasonable offer. I have loved owning this car, and it runs great, I just want to get rid of the payments. Direct anyone interested in additional details and photos to the Craigslist posting.
Thanks!
Update: Sold!
Here is another photo of Noah Brixton taken by St. Joseph's Hospital. The page includes interesting facts about his birthday, and historical events, my favorite being a quote from 1775:
American patriot Patrick Henry spoke one of the world's most famous quotes, proclaiming, "Give me liberty or give me death," in a speech promoting the Virginia militia.

I wonder if that's what Noah was thinking when he decided to come out?
