4-Months Already!

Posted on 7.18.09

Noah had his checkup today, and we were told that he is a healthy little guy. He is still five days away from being four months old but he weighed in at 17 pounds!

Growing Up Fast

As much as I cannot wait to play catch, go to our first baseball game together (in Anahiem, of course), or even watch him start walking and talking, I am bummed that that means Carly and I lose out on all the great times we are having with him now...

With Noah here, and our financial situation changing, Carly and I are wanting to sell our Volvo as soon as possible and we will take any reasonable offer.

Tired is the New Black

I can't believe Carly and I are five weeks into the rest of our lives. Noah has brought with him a whole new normal. I borrow the words of Amy Poehler (of SNL and Baby Mama) when she said, "sleep is out for 2009. Tired is the new black." Even as I write this, Carly is in bed getting in her hour to three-hours of sleep (I call that a nap) before Noah wakes up and is ready to be fed.

Although I can't do the feeding, I am getting pretty good at changing diapers at 4 AM as well as getting him back to sleep. Instead of trying to sing lullabies and nursery rimes with words I could not remember anyway, I have been steadily getting him used to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game." Of course, my version replaces "the home team" with "the Angels." I might have moved out of California, but I still bleed Angel-red.
